Psalm 47:1 Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
Psalms 63:5-7 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
When it comes to joy, our joy cannot be based upon how we feel. Joy is not having the best cars, the best house, it can never be in the things we have. Our joy comes from the Lord. Per the Psalm 63:5-7 it is telling us that our souls are rich from the word of God which God told us that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. When a person beings to think about who God is to them that’s when they have Joy.
I can be in a department store and all a suddenly I started thinking about how good God is and I will start singing. Walking with an extra leap in my step people look at me and smile. What they don’t know is that I have joy in my life. Things are never perfect to the way we think perfect should be right? But in His word, He tells us that no one can steal our joy. Now if you don’t have joy in your life it’s due to one or two reasons, first you maybe not be born again and second you gave the enemy your joy. I hear people say all the time that Satan stole something from them, let’s me try to help you with this. The enemy does not have that type of power to take anything from you and me. If you really believe that Satan has stolen your joy, it’s because you have given it over to him.
You might be asking how does one give it over to him? We give Satan permission by allowing the cares of this world to weigh heavy on us, we get consumed in what is not important in our lives, we lose focus of what really matters in life. It’s these things that will steal our joy. Remember in John 10:10 it says that the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. From today moving forward I want you to begin thinking on these things and your joy will return. Just because it’s clutter with stuff you can find it if you want to. Here is the antidote it’s found in Philippians 4:8, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
When you think on these verses that God says there is no way you will end up giving Satan what God has already given you. AMEN Have a blessed day.
