Our Ego’s

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.

Several things I need to share with you on faithfulness, when we aren’t faithful to God we assume that God will not be faithful to us. In reality you and I are faithful but we just aren’t as faithful to God as we should be. We are faithful to the things we want to do; for example; hanging out with our friends, social media, watching our programs on television, organizing groups, etc. Yeah, we are so faithful to the things that matter to us that we are consistent with it. We have no excuses to say we don’t know how to be faithful, for we already demonstrated that we can do it.

The other point I want to share is that God’s son Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever, which means He’s not changing. He won’t change His mind, nor His word. He is faithful even when we are not. I wonder if we even feel convicted?  Many of us don’t because we serve our ego’s so much that we think why, do I have to be faithful as long as I do what is acceptable, God will except it. Talk about an ego trip we have. No wonder we can’t serve God hundred percent our egos get in the way. You already are faithful to things you love now how about adjusting your faith and start by being faithful to reading your bible, praying, worship, tithing, serving others, start with small steps and watch what God will do in your life. I guarantee you that your ego will disappear because when we are faithful to God our egos has to flee, amen?

Your ego has you so puffed up that  you can’t see the Lord working in your life because you think it was something that you did on your own. I would like to quote a statement from a book I read and it is so fitting for this topic today. The author is Karon Phillips, from the book, “You’re Late again,  Lord; she said We don’t lose faith because we struggle. We struggle because we lose faith. It’s time for us all to let go of our egos, it’s one thing to be confident it’s another to be proudly and many of us are playing with dangerous explosives with our egos.
