1 Timothy 6: 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
Why are so may people looking to get rich? They try their chances at the lottery, they play at casino’s all to give away all their money and walk away empty. And let’s say that they do manage to win big they surely aren’t going to be rich because the moment they get the money their blowing it on any and everything they can possibly spend it on.
We’ve heard about these people rich today and filing bankruptcy tomorrow. So what is so appealing to being rich? Is it a chance to live the life they’ve always dreamed of?
Did you know that the rich has no peace, they don’t rest? They are up making sure that what they have is not stolen, so they aren’t resting.
But those who are in Christ Jesus you need to know that you are rich beyond what the world can offer. God tells His children about riches that is found in scripture, 2 Timothy 1: 16 God who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, willing to share with others. When we do this we are rich, were rich the way God intended for us to be.
Our Father blesses us in ways we don’t even acknowledge and because we are so ungrateful of His blessings toward us we don’t see ourselves as being richly blessed by the Father. If we would stop looking at what we think we are missing and see how the Lord blesses us each moment of the day we will surely have a much greater attitude that we will start blessing others out of what God has blessed us with.
You might not have a bank account with lots of zero’s behind the number but as long as Jesus is your Lord and Savior you are the riches person in the world because you have Jesus. Christians has to get out of the mind that money is everything, for it’s not. Money can’t buy you love, peace, spouse, career, health, it can only give you temporary happiness.
