1 Timothy 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so, do.
1 Timothy 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
Question: Why do we believe in Fables?
In school especially kindergarten the teachers would have story time, and during this time of the day all the kids sit on the floor around the teacher as she holds a book on her lap and read a story. Kids love story time because this is when their imaginations come alive.
But what happens when you are no longer a child and you’re an adult? Are we still holding on to those fables? I believe we are. Remember the one about if you break a mirror you’ll have seven years of bad luck? And what about walking under a ladder? Fables are just stories they hold no truth.
What fables are you still holding on to in your life? Are you holding on the one that says ” there aren’t any good men or women in the world? Are you holding on the fable that says ” people only care about themselves? There are many fables that are robbing each of us. It’s time to take a closer look at those fables in your life and rid yourself of them, remember fables are only story time, don’t let them become apart of your life. One can not edify themselves on fables.
