1 Thessalonians 4:17 says’ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
What if “the rapture came and you were left behind?” My husband and I was talking about how people who attend church and yet they don’t have a real relationship with Jesus. I for one don’t know how a person can attend church, be a member hear the message and not be saved? As we began having this discussion, I said,” what would the church meaning the body of Christ not the building in which you attend; woke up one morning and they were not in the rapture?
How will they become saved? What will they think? What questions will they ponder? Where would they run to? Many will crowd the churches hoping to get some answer. Remember the bible says that when the rapture takes place there will be no more saints on the earth, and that the Holy Spirit will not be here because He leaves with the true Christians. I know your saying what about the rest of the scripture that goes along with this? Oh yes, there is much more but to save time let’s stay on this point that I am making here. But I will say this, the bible is very clear that during the tribulation, people can be saved but as you read in Revelation it is not going to be an easy thing for a person to do. Because of the events that will be taking place. That’s why it’s so important to do it now then later, for the Holy Spirit is here now He won’t be later.
I can’t even image how a person can hear the message of salvation and not accept Jesus as Lord? With all the technology that is at our disposal the gospel is out there. Do they not believe that the world is coming to an end? Do they believe that there is no rapture/tribulation? Do they not believe in a heaven and hell? Or do they believe once they die that’s it they go no place? But whatever their reason may be one thing is for sure, once you die you will spend eternity either in heaven or hell?
I have a real deep concern about the church (not the building but the body) what are we doing to make sure that people have salvation? Do we go and ask them? I tell you now, when a person tells me that they are saved I ask them to tell me about them being saved? You might think I don’t have a right to do that but I do, for many religious people today are calling themselves Christians but they believe something other than the word of God. I’ve talked to people who have said they don’t have to have a relationship with Jesus if they know Him. You can’t know Him unless you have that relationship. I had to witness to them with the truths of God’s word and the Holy Spirit guiding me and by the time I am done they say thank you for explaining it. I didn’t explain nothing I just witnessed to them, and planted a seed.
Many will be shocked to find themselves here after the rapture. In closing, let us all examine ourselves and if you aren’t sure you are saved, start now by confessing you are a sinner and in need of a Savior. Ask Jesus to come into your heart today. Don’t wait thinking that you got time, for the enemy’s biggest lie is telling us we got time.”
