Whose words are you speaking? Yours or God’s Word?

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Everything started with the Word that God spoke. And God is the Word. We see through scripture that God created the heavens and the earth and everything above and beneath.

We must ask ourselves a serious question. When God spoke the word and things happened why aren’t we speaking that word to make things happen in our life?  We make things so challenging for ourselves that we tend to over-look what God said. It’s not hard to do folks, there is no formula to it, simple speak the word of God.

Where we lack is that we speak the wrong words to our situations, we speak from our intellect   then give it a spin by adding a few scripture verses to it. Only to come up empty-handed because it didn’t work and now we are frustrated. Out of our disappointment we want to blame God, by saying God didn’t answer me! Why blame God when God tells us to speak His word, not your word.

You must remember that when speaking God’s word, you can’t add your own words to what God has already established. You and I aren’t God, we didn’t write His words. You don’t have power in your own self.

The next time you have a situation don’t put on spin on it just speak God’s word and watch what will happen. God’s word works best when you and I stop trying to add to it.
