Deuteronomy 8:11 says’ Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
Question: What are you keeping in your life?
We cannot become so busy in life that we aren’t keeping the teachings of the Lord. Each one of us have become so relaxed that we tolerate pretty much anything, while sweeping God’s commandments right out the window of our hearts.
How are we doing this? Pretty simple, we give way the word by making excuses by watering it down making our own interpretations of what scripture says, so we won’t feel convicted about doing what we want.
We give way the marriage vows, we give way the teachings of raising our children. The pleasures of this world which has no real meaning in our lives, we keep them very close to our hearts. We keep memos and ring tone alerts to remind us so we won’t forget because those are the things that we want to keep.
Oh, yes, we are so very familiar with keeping up with stuff, and in the meantime our spirit man is wasting away because we aren’t keeping the commandments to the Lord.
When we tolerate things that are not of God’s we are siding with the enemy of this world.
