Saturday’s Life Application Word~Much~

2 Corinthians 10:12 says” Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.

Question: How much more full or empty?

You’ve heard the saying” glass half full” the flip side it is “glass half empty.” And no matter how many people you might ask they all will have a different answer, which means there is no right or wrong answer. It’s how a person perceives the glass as being.

And though it’s one of those sayings people often view their own lives as either half empty or half full. It’s amazing how we perceive things, we say we want to get a good job we want a good friends we want good credit, but for the things we want to be good I must ask, “what are you comparing it to?” One cannot know what “good” is until they have something to compare it to.

So, if you see your life as not being good, what are you comparing your life to? Are you comparing it to others? Anytime we compare our perception to other things we will always come up empty. Therefore, God tells us in Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Let me ask you this, do you think that the person or persons of who you compare yourself to are happy? You may not have what you want you may be struggling but always remember this, you are neither half empty or half full; you are whole. For God created you in their image.
