Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Question: How are you with change?
Even in this bible verse the Lord God is teaching us to change our thinking.
We all go through changes often the changes that we make people don’t like or should I say they haven’t adjusted to our new changes. Sometimes those changes are sudden that we make some are not so sudden. But either way should our change effect what others see or think?
When I was a teenager I hated change. I guess you can say it gave me comfort. And who doesn’t like comfort? As I started to grow up I learned that change is a must. Rather I liked it or not change was going to happen and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
No change comes easy it requires changing our thinking. Sadly, we have adults who can’t stomach change, you hear them they say “why can’t we just leave it the way it was? In my relationship with Jesus, he has taught me that no matter how difficult the change is He will get me through it, and that it will be for my good.
I want to encourage you this day, when you find yourself struggling with making a change speak to the Lord of Host and ask Him to help you and I guarantee according to His word He will give you what you need to get through that change. It’s amazing that when we have gone through it we always say “it wasn’t as bad as we thought!
Jesus taught his disciples that man’s hearts must change in order for him to see God.
