Psalm 119:154 says “Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.
How quick are you? Have you ever notice when you’re in line to pay for something you observe the clerk and you see how quick she is? And your like wow.
What about when you and your buddy take on a project together and they finish before you did and your both started at the same time. When it comes to being quick I do believe that we all have that capability to be quick. We know how to be quick when we want to rush to the mall before the sale is over.
But there is another quickness about us all that is not so good and that is the quickness of how we judge others. Of all the senses that God has given us it’s our mouth that is quicker than anything. Our very own mouths quickly speak before our brain has caught up. If we aren’t judging so quickly we are ready to give our two cents of an opinion without knowing all the facts.
Being quick has it place just like everything else in life, but we should remember that the only time we should be practicing quickness is this, James 1:9 say’s Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
Sadly, we do this scripture reverse, we get angry quickly we shoot off at the mouth like a train on a track, and we don’t listen at all. Then we wonder why we get into trouble.
