Zephaniah 3:17 says The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save, He will rejoice over you with goodness; He will quiet your y his love; he will exult over you with a loud sing. This morning and evening as I was reading a few scriptures I read how the Lord, exult us.
While reading this one word stood out and that was exult. Webster’s say’s to show or feel a lovely or triumphant joy, rejoicing exceedingly, be highly elated or jubilant. And so, as I started pondering on this word “Exult” I thought to myself, just how blessed I am that God would rejoice over me.
For it’s nothing that I ever did or could do to make a God like mine rejoice over me. There are times that people may not get excited or share in my joys but my God surely is rejoicing over me. So, family and friends the next time you feel like the blues remember the Lord is rejoicing over you, now doesn’t that put a smile on your face today?
The Lord thy God is mighty. Every word carries in it something very encouraging to the church and people of God. It’s an antidote against those fears. God supplies, assist, strengthen, protect and defend us. God in their nature, “Immanuel”, God with us; and who is “mighty”, the Almighty God, the mighty Mediator, who has all power in heaven and earth. Thank you, Lord, let me always be mindful of how you are rejoicing and singing over me. If you are a parent and when your little infant baby would wake up at night you would sing to over them, it calms the baby down. Do you remember that? That’s what Jesus does to us. AMEN
