Psalm 27:11 says, “Teach me your way, O LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
Going on the straight path in life is hard and challenging for we all have set ourselves to follow the path but somewhere down the path we get distracted by all the thrills and fantasy lights and we end up rearing off the straight path.
And by the time we realize what we have done we’ve gone so far, we are lost, we don’t know how to get back on that path. The Psalmist here is saying that He want the Lord to teach him how to live so that he can submit to God’s will and not his own. For he knows if he follows God’s will for His life he can’t go wrong, but if he follows his own path in life he knows he is going to have many troubles in life.
When you and I go wondering off from the straight path we become prey for the enemy. Being on the straight path has no glamour there are no big bright lights with all the thrills and fantasy ornaments, that is why we end up rearing off the straight path because we find it not as exciting as the other path.
In life each one of us must decide how we are going to live our lives we can chose to go down the straight path in life or the crocked path in life. The choice is yours.
