Deceiving Yourself

James 1:22 says’ But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

We deceive ourselves if we think that being exposed to Bible teachings and Christian ministry is enough to keep us in a right relationship with God.

We can be involved in all kinds of church activities and ministry and know a lot about God’s Word; but if we do not put that word into practice, all our activity and knowledge is meaningless.

With all the technology we have at our disposal we have become so lazy that we know longer physically pick up our bibles anymore. How many people even still have a bible in their homes?

We deceive ourselves into believing that we are doing the word when we are exposed to the word. That my friends are one of the “BIGGEST LIES” from the enemy. The enemy doesn’t care if you and I read the bible his biggest fear is when we do what the word says.

If you aren’t doing the word, then how can you hear what the word says?
