As Christians We Are like Jars of Clay

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Christians are like jars of clay, who at times experience a sense of frailty and vulnerability caused by anxiety, fear, grief and weaknesses. Yet, because of God’s treasure within us we are not devalued or defeated. It is really a display of God’s power through human weakness. This means that in every trouble or difficulty we can be more than conquerors by God’s power and love. It’s in our weaknesses, troubles and suffering that open opportunity for Christ love and power to be revealed in our lives.

The next time when you feel that you are a broken jar remember that God says you are valued, and He will put what is broken back together. Have a blessed day today.

  2. That’s so true! It’s the broken areas of our life that the light of Christ is able shine through the most because our weakness is God’s strength. Thanks for posting this and encouraging me today!
