Who Are We Pleasing? God or Man

Galatians 1: 10 says ” Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

We as humans are people pleaser now you might say that you aren’t but in all truth we do please people to some degree. And so here Paul is saying that people cannot effectively spread Christ message or influence others to follow him if they are more concerned about what people think than what God desires. Such people show that their identification with Christ and his message is a shame to them; therefore they compromise his truth.

Paul was boldly determined to follow what he considered his duty to speak “not trying to please men but God. All true Christians must make it their aim to please God and fulfill his plans and desires for them, even if it means displeasing some people, after all, no one has ever loved us and provided the hope for us that Jesus has.

I am not going to expound on this because I do believe what I have shared what you speaks for itself.

  1. Oh, Desiray, this is the problem we all constantly face daily, sometimes with devastating consequences when we fail to see where the roads we are on are taking us. Thank you so much for this timely reminder.

You are a blessing in my life.

    Love and hugs,

    Gwennon
