Do you like Flavored Creme Coffee?


I am taking a survey yesterday as I was pouring myself coffee as I reached for my flavored creme I thought to myself, “wow these things can be addictive.

I just love Bailey’s and I think I’ve probably tried everyone Irish Creme, Creme Burlee and Hazelnut.  I like to think that I am a connoisseur of flavored creme coffees. My husband tells me that it’s not the coffee I like it’s the flavors of the cremes that I am addictive to. And so I got to thinking “what if he is right?” I had to know, so I  went on a thirty-day fast no coffee. Turns out I wasn’t addicted to coffee I was addictive to the cremer. I had to break that crazy cycle, so now I don’t drink coffee like I use to and sometimes I go months without coffee at all.

It’s that what temptation does to you and I, it gives us that addictive aroma that tells us it’s okay to partake of it, it gives us that shallow satisfaction of enjoyment. It’s not until we put down that temptation that we can stare it right in the eye and say we are no longer tempted by you any longer.

      1. I’ve never tried Chai. I enjoy tea and one day tried something different. For about a week I was drinking peppermint tea and started breaking out at the time I didn’t know it was from the tea. Needless to say I stopped drinking that tea.

      2. Yes. Makes sense. I never thought I would breakout from it. But when my doctor asked what’s new to my eating I told her about the tea. She advised me to stay off if it. Haven’t had a problem with any other tea.

      3. This is so strange. So have you noticed your acne getting better? I am in my late twenties and I still have a lot of acne. I don’t drink a lot of peppermint tea (which I do enjoy very much) but I wonder if other drinks could cause acne-related issues. I drink a lot of coffee and Diet Coke.

      4. It very well could be those drinks you are drinking. I don’t drink sodas. But ever since I stopped drinking peppermint tea the bumps haven’t come back. It could of been I was allergenic to it. Mostly teas I drink now are green tea. But I will try Chi to see how that tastes.

      5. Yeah, that makes sense. And green tea seems like a safe bet. It’s simple enough to not cause any blemishes. I am happy that you found out what caused it. Good docs are important. 🙂 And I should really stay away from soda but it’s so hard. Lol. 🙂

      6. Yeah soda is very hard but what made me stop was when I saw how much weight a person can gain. So now I drink Seltzer water, it’s not like soda but I am not putting on weight

I love flavored coffees and flavored creamers, but I realized a while back that I might be becoming a little addicted (😂), as well as, I really took into account how much sugar I was adding to my daily intake with sugar and flavored creamers in my coffee. (I have a MAJOR sweet tooth!!) So, I cut out the sugar, and now, I only use So Delicious’ Coconut Milk Creamer in French Vanilla. It’s still not black coffee or a completely sugar free creamer, but I feel a lot better with the “non GMO” label and lessened sugar intake. So… go ahead, and serve me up a brownie with that cup of java! 😂
