Romans 6:18 says “And, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
When we think of Memorial Day we think about our Military people who have fought for our freedom and those who are still on the battlefield fighting for us. Why do they fight? They fight for our “freedom, for freedom cost, it doesn’t come free.
Many people died much blood was shed for freedom. Many other countries don’t have this freedom they are still fighting to have what we have. I know we have a lot of issues and concerns about what we have seen in the news, and we are fearful of what might happen next. Even in all the events and uncertainty one thing remains true and that is the Word of God. You may not agree with what the right or the left-wing is doing but let us not lose our focus on what is really important. Remember the Lord says that these things will happen before Jesus Christ returns the Second Time.
Each day we need to be thanking God that we have freedom and that America is still standing just like she was many years ago when she declared Freedom. All of this comes about from a loving God who blessed this country.
And just like God looked down from heaven with compassion and saw us in our sinful likeness sent His only Son to come and die for us that we can be eternally free not only in citizenship but we can be free from sin and that we will reign with Him in eternity forever and forever more.
Romans 6:22 say’s it best, “but now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. Now that is complete freedom. As you and your family enjoy your time together today, take a moment and pray for those families who have fallen and those who still on the battlefield, remember there is still room at Calvary’s Cross for those who don’t know Him. Lord. My theme today is “AMAZING GRACE” no true words every spoken then the words of this song.
