Don’t Be Sleeping

Proverbs 6:6 says “ Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

The ants are more diligent than slothful men while the sluggard is busy being lazy and not working at preparing his family he sleeps and is not diligent at all. This brings shame to the family and to him.

Now consider the way of the ant what diligence and industry it uses in providing its food. Which, though a small, weak, feeble creature, yet will travel over flints and stones, climb trees. He enter into towers, barns, cellars, places high and low, in search of food.

Never hinder, but help one another in carrying their burdens so when the hard bitter winter comes he is prepared.

God want us to be wise in all our ways and not to become foolish and unwise, a wise man prepares everyday and he stays out until he is done, a foolish man believes it will work out for it self he feels no need to be prepare for himself or his family.

On Monday I posted a challenge devotion called Motivation Challenge if you took the challenge I would like to know how you did with that challenge.  As I stated you can share how you did on this challenge on Tuesday’s devotion comment.

  1. As promised from yesterday’s devotion of the challenge I want to share with you how my day went with that challenge. I had an incident where I was finding myself being a little impatient with someone and at that very moment I remembered the challenge and I said” don’t be impatient with this person it could be that they are having a bad day.

Once I said those words it was then that I was much calmer and I wasn’t irritated. Later that day the Spirit of God showed me again as to when I allow my negative thoughts to irritate me.

The rest of my day went very smooth and well. Today I even thought about the lesson I learned from yesterday. I must not allow my thoughts to roam as they please but I am to control them instead of my thoughts controlling me.
