No Need to Be Torn

Genesis 4:6 says” And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

We know from reading the story of Cain and his brother Abel, that Cain killed his own brother. And he tried to hide what he had done from God. We see in this story the events that led up to Cain’s decision. But what most of us forget is that even in what he did, God showed his mercy on him. Today’s world is no different than back then. As Christians we can’t allow the events in our lives to tear us apart.

When we mess up we have an advocate who is Jesus that we can turn to, we are not a people without a God. The sad fact about our first response is that we let what Satan has brought to us get us unglued. And when this happens we are open to his thoughts and we fall prey to all the ungodly thoughts that he whispers in our ears.

We all sin and fall short. And when we do fall apart don’t hide from God, run to Him. Don’t let your shame keep you from the Lord Almighty. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. AMEN!

Have a Blessed first day of September!
