Psalm 37:25 says “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
How often have you and I read this verse? Many times. Have you taken the time to eat it? What is the Psalmist telling us? I believe it’s one of the many promises of the towards His children.
In this verse we see a man remembering when he was young serving the Lord. Now that the man has gotten older he still sees how the Lord has never forgotten him. And that the man never had to beg for anything, in other words he lacked nothing. Why? Because he is a child of God.
During this man’s life span he has seen many things. From good to evil and yet the Lord never allowed the wicked to have victory over him.
That’s right folks because you and I are a part of that seed, no person or persons will ever have victory over a child of God. No matter what the enemy brings or what our environment might appear to look like, evil will NEVER over take us.
We have our shares of fires that we must go through. And just like the Holy Spirit was in the fire with the three Hebrew boys, so will the Lord be with us in the fire. What an assurance of confidence that we have in knowing that God will never see the righteous forsaken. We have a reason to shout.
Lord I thank you that no man will ever have victory over me! I don’t have to beg for anything for You my Lord shall supply all my needs according to Your riches and glory. You are the lifter of my head. AMEN
Have a wonderful and blessed Tuesday!
