Hour Glass Faith

Matthew 7: 24-27 says’ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.  But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Why do we act as if our faith is a sand-glass? We sit there looking at the sand as it begins to fall through the glass with us being nervous like a cat under a rocking chair.

Hoping that God will answer before all the sand is runs out.

Family that is not faith. If your faith is like this hour glass, then you don’t have faith at all.

What you have is wishful thinking. You are like the foolish man who built his house upon the sand.

I can’t tell you how to have faith in God. Your friends can’t tell you how to have faith. Only God Himself can tell you. The only way you are going to know how to have faith in God is that you must read His word. If your faith is like the sand, it’s safe to say that you aren’t reading the word of God. Now before you say that you do read your word. Let’s look at a fact. The scripture says” faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. That’s in Hebrews 11:1

Father God I pray that you help those with their un-belief. That they will put their trust in you and that their faith will grow. Lord you are constantly pursuing us to come and learn of you. I know life has so many crazy challenges and it takes us through some valleys we never seen before. But one thing I know without a doubt and that is my faith in You Lord GOD. When life and people are not sure, and it seems like our very existence is questionable You oh Lord remain the same. I pray this day that we all would draw nigh to you like never. In the Mighty name of Jesus. And I thank You Lord for being a gracious and merciful God. AMEN
