Stop Moving and Be Still

Psalm 46:10 says’ He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

What is it about we humans that we hate being still? We can’t sit still for not even a minute. We become frazzled, unglued. We pace and pace making imprints in the ground. Why? Could it be that we really don’t know that God is GOD? That’s right, when we know that God is God then and only then can we be still. But we would rather let our flesh led us instead of the Word of God.

We are not perfect people we still have flaws, but in all honesty when we go through trails shouldn’t we learn from them? The same God who was with you last time will be with you this time. If you know this in your heart, why sweat it? Why do we let that flesh of ours led us? Being still before the Lord is an act of faith. The world will bring us many heartfelt issues along with allot of uneasiness. People in this world are hurting and evil seems to be on the rise. But that should not be a surprise to us for the bible tells us these things are to happen before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

We who are Christians, if we don’t get an understanding of this verse and have in activated in our lives we will become nervous like the rest of the world who don’t know the Lord as God. Each day we need to sit still before the Lord, let not our thoughts races through our minds.  Don’t think about nothing don’t rush God but calm ourselves and be still.

When we can be still we are saying that we know God to be GOD. I don’t know about you, but I found out that when I sit still I am giving up my right to do it my way and life is a lot easier and no stress.
