Healing: Do you even BELIEVE?

1 Peter 2:24 says’ He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Isaiah 53:5 says “But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

When it comes to healing many saints struggle and here is the reason why. They don’t trust the Word of God. I am sure there are other reasons, but this is the main reason.

When it comes to healing, we must first understand that healing does not come from you and I. Healing comes from the Lord. We must have faith to believe the Word of God. Often when a person prays for healing and they don’t see the manifestation of it right away, they assume God has not healed them. Why is it that we must see first in order to believe?  The bible says blessed are those who believe without seeing. If we must see it in order to believe, then we don’t have faith at all. If a person doesn’t believe in the Word of God than why ask the Lord to heal you?

During Jesus ministry people asked Jesus to heal them.  Jesus asked them one question” do you believe? Their responds were “yes”, and they were healed. And Jesus told them to go and sin no more. Now let’s look at something, here shall we? These people who came to Jesus needed to be set free they needed healing in their bodies. But more than anything they needed a savior. The people were curious about this man in whom they have heard about. How He raised the dead, healed the sick, open the eyes of blind men.

Because all their lives they have had the same situations and they needed something to change so they immediately said yes to faith without wavering. This is how we are to respond when we come to the Lord. Our faith is not to waver we are to believe He can do it.

Often, we don’t receive because we have overlook the healing that God has done for us. God is not going to heal us the way we expect. So let’s stop having that type of mindset.  The Lord will never see us lack anything good. He loves us. When you don’t see the manifestation of your healing don’t question the Lord and become mad at Him. Remember He healed you but you can’t see it because you still have the scales on your eyes. Remove the scales from your eyes and you shall see. Either He is Lord, or He is not Lord of your life.

Don’t put stipulations on the Lord. For when you do that you miss your own blessings. God is Divine and He is Perfect.

  1. Jesus said, “Oh yea of little faith”. I believe these words define most Christians. We live in a time when we feel we must see everything. Prior to the industrial revolution, our faith was our foundation. Today, we rely on the technology of the time to create a foundation, and our faith is waning as a people. This is the ploy of the enemy who controls the airways and the earth. We are becoming a blind people with little faith, this is true of the Western world. Developing worlds are still in alignment with their faith because that is all they can rely on. I believe, we need to reorient ourselves and place our faith in God before all else. Healing happens!

God heals in many ways, not always obvious to us. Faith allows Him to heal us and stay in communication with Him. I love that He heals, some through miracles, some through medicine, counseling, a change of heart, reconciliation through repentance of our sins, breaking of curses and prayer.
