Are you Devoted?

1 Samuel 1:11 says” And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”

When you think of Hannah think of her persistence and faith?

During that time in history when infertility earned woman ridicule. They mocked them. Hannah prayers sincerely specifically, sacrificially she vowed that show would give her son back to God if He granted her a son.

And God did, and his name was Samuel. Hannah promised God that if He gave her a son, she would give him back to the Lord. Hannah refused to believe that her difficult situation had to remain permanent. For years she could not become pregnant but she knew a man who could change all of this for her. She must have prayed for days who know because the bible does not tell us how long she prayed. What it does tell us is how persistence she was. “I can only imagine that her words were Lord I am going to stay here until you bless me.”

If a woman like Hannah prayed with much importance how ought we to pray? A devoted prayer must proceed from the very bottom of the heart. Man never heard her voice only God heard it.

Key Note: Hannah knew that when she felt before the Lord her constance was no more. Her sorrow vanished from the hour just as Moses did on the behalf of the people. He knew God answered his prayer.

A consciousness aroused up with Hannah she had that assurance that God heard her prayer and that He would grant her prayer. An immediate blessing allow follows earnest and heartfelt prayer.
