Be You! Don’t let what others think Phase You

Romans 12:2 says’ and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

What is it about us as humans that we want everyone to like us? Is our self-esteem that low that we need to be validated by people? If you think that everyone is going to like you then my friend, you are in for a rude awaken. No matter how pleasant, charming or popular you are or think you are, everyone is not going to like you. Each person has their own set of merits in which they are going to like you.

Stop looking to people to validate you. People are made up of flaws, which means we are shallow. Only Jesus Himself can validate you and once you know who you are in Christ Jesus then you won’t go around wanting everyone to like you. When I see people leeching on to someone to like them it bothers me because they are lost. That type of person is building their hopes on someone to like them. Which means they end up becoming a people pleasure to make the other person to like them.

Little do they know that the person in whom they are trying to please will never see any value of worth in them. Jesus tells us that our minds must be transformed. When our minds are renewed, we won’t care if a person like us or not. It’s not that we become big head it’s that we have put our hope and confidence in Christ not in things of this world. When a person knows who they are in Christ they stop looking at these things that the world lives by.

Donโ€™t let people stop you from being all God wants you to be.

  1. Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ. Exactly ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฟ. When we know who we are in Christ, the things our souls used to thirst for, no longer satisfies us. Like you mentioned, not everyone is going to like us. Many people didnโ€™t like Jesus but He knew His assignment. He clung to His Father. Thank you for sharing this post ๐Ÿ˜Š.

    1. Thank you Karen for reading it. And yes, many people didn’t like Jesus and He never let it stop Him for carrying out His Father’s Will.

      Have a bless evening ๐Ÿ™

  2. Approval is one of the hardest idols to destroy. I know, cause I’ve sought after it more than God many times in my life. I’m so grateful that His grace has always pulled me through.
