Isaiah 43:18 Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Many things we do with regrets in life. And those regrets haunt us. Why do we carry them around?
For they profit us nothing. Jesus is telling us to let it go, not to give it another thought.
We will never be able to move forward if we continue to carry the things of the former.
We may think that we have moved forward but, we are only standing still.
What are you holding on to? Let it go today so that you can be free for good.
Amen! Thought about this passage as well. “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus…
Amen. That verse does come to mind. Thank you for your comment.
Tried to reblog but did’t see the option!
That’s weird. There is an option to reblog. It might be an issue with the site itself.
There may be!
One of the ploys of the evil one is to keep us locked into our pasts looking at missteps and doubting our abilities and skills. Just like it says in Isaiah, we must leave the past behind, ask forgiveness, and move forward. We must always move forward towards the prize.
Exactly Lisa. When doubts come into our thoughts we have to cast them down.
We must be intentional and always alert because the devil comes to steal kill and destroy our hopes are dreams and our relationship with Christ.
That is his sole purpose for the Christian.
I believe that generally speaking we Christians profess our faith, but do little that will adversely affect our comfort. They don’t understand deception. I wrote an article sometime ago about Satan’s deceptionand how we so easily fall prey. The Post is on youngchristianwarriors.com, my other site.
I agree many don’t understand. Just like many don’t believe that demons are real. It’s sad how some pick and choose what they will believe in Gods word.
I will check your other site to read that article.
I wish that this post had a ‘Love’ button instead of a ‘Like’ button. It’s so good.
Aw. Thank you I know right. But you could of you want to at the heading of the posting give it five stars.
Have a bless day my sister. Jesus is so Amazing.
