Proverbs 22:6 says” Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
When it comes to our children half of the world can say they raised their kids up well while the other half can say that they didn’t do such a good job.
In my home we had no other choice but to go to church. It was never up for discussion. My mother took us kids to church every Sunday. And though my father never went to church with us he made sure we went. I never understood why my father never went with us. Eventually I thought church was my home for I spent most of my days in church because mom was a busy woman in the church which meant we had to go.
But what do you do when you have a wayward child who strayed away from church? How do you handle that knowing you raised them in church? Reason I ask this is because I know that there are parents right now who are dealing with this very issue.
In this world we have so many children who are hurting, lost and most of them are trying to find themselves. They aren’t sure what to do or who to listen to. And because of this we have many parents who are screaming and literally pulling their hair out of their heads. For they just can’t seem to reach that wayward child. The one and only ingredient concerning your wayward child is to don’t give up on your children!
I know it’s hard, but you got to fight. Start with putting on the whole armor of God and stand your ground and let the Lord fight this battle for the battle belongs to Him. Jesus needs us as parents to be dressed in our battle clothes so when the enemy throws those fiery darts you can be able to stand and not fall.
The fight ahead of you is like no other because it’s a fight to death but if you can persevere until the end your wayward child will come around. My question to you is this, are you willing to die to save your child?
The reason the fight is hard is because the enemy wants our children and we must be determined that he is not going to have our children. So, get yourself prayed up, geared up and go and get what is rightfully yours. AMEN
