What the Bible says about Failures

2 Corinthians 12:9 says” but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

If I was to ask you to name one thing you are good at doing, you could name it immediately, without hesitation. But if I was to ask you to name what you fail in each one of us would hesitate on our response.

From a young age we are taught to always do good and give it our all. When we fail at something, we never received information on how to deal with failures in our lives.

God does not see you or I as being a failure as the world sees you and I. God sees much more in us. We aren’t perfect people we are going to fail at stuff. But the beauty of if all is that God turns what we failed at into beauty.

You and I are so blessed in so many ways that I think we over look just how blessed we really are by God. There was a time in one of my career jobs where I felt like a failure. Everything I tried it never worked. The harder I tried the more I was belittled. My worked was always looked over with a fine tooth-comb from management. I wanted to throw in the towel and give up. But the spirit of God kept pushing me to stay and not give up. Sometimes I had to ask myself does the Lord understand what I am going through? How I am feeling? How my heart is aching with pain? God already knew what I was experiencing. It just helped me to get those feelings out.

In God’s timing when the Lord vindicated me, talk about a blessing. The people around me couldn’t understand it they even thought that I was a failure because I was leaving but what they didn’t understand was that my assignment from God was over. God had another assignment for me to begin. Every now and then I look back over everything that I endured on that job I ask myself what would have happened had I not given God my failure? The world will never understand how a child of God can rise above their failures?

We are over comers by the blood of the lamb of God! AMEN!

  1. I have felt that drowning-in-failure feeling often. But as I am maturing in life and in Christ, I pray about things a lot more often and He gives me more successes. Like you said, in God’s timing. Thank you.

    1. I’m glad to hear that you praying more often about those things. It’s prayer that gets me through. That feeling you described is how I felt on that job.

Thank you for sharing. Have a bless day.
