It’s Easy to Complain now try Praying Instead.

Philippians 2:14 says” Do all things without grumbling or questioning,

Ephesians 4:29 says” Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

One of the hardest things for us to do is to not complain. We can think of every little thing to complain about, can’t we? We wake up and get out of bed and we start complaining. The kids didn’t eat the breakfast you fix them. Your husband forgot to take the trash out. Or just maybe the paper boy threw your newspaper in your rose bushes again.

Throughout our day we find things to complain about. Sad thing we don’t have to look far. But imagine what would happen if we pray before we complain. My pastor tells us all the time that complaining is like sitting in a rocking chair, going nowhere. We are not perfect beings we make errors. But if God would allow you to see the other side of what you complain about you wouldn’t complain at all.

Yes, the clerk at the deli got your order wrong and it made you late returning to work. Could it be that God was stopping you from being involved in a car accident? Therefore, we should pray before we complain.

I challenge you today that before you open your mouth to complain rather to yourself or someone else pray first.  And watch what the Lord will show you about yourself.

    1. I experienced the same thing back here in December. I learned a few things about myself that I didn’t like about my attitude. At the time I didn’t know that there was this lady on my job who was watching me. One day she came up to me and said, I admire how you handle challenges. For you never allow them to change who you are. She said I want to be like that.

I told her it’s not me, I dont do everything right all the times. But it God who lives in me. Without Jesus I cant do nothing.

It really goes to show we never know who is watching us.

Thank you as always for sharing. Have a blessed day.

    1. That is fantastic that you are wanting to make that your first response. I view prayer as being so vital to our walk with the Lord. Thanks for sharing your comment. Have a bless Saturday.
