Hiding Under The Table

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Remember when you were a child and you sat at the dinner table and if there was something you didn’t like you would hide it under the table. While hoping that mom and dad didn’t see you.

Now that the years have passed, we are still having those tendencies of hiding our sins under the table, but this time were hiding them from God.

What makes a person hide? There are many reasons as to why. Guilt plays a big part of hiding. Feeling alone worthless, out or sorts, and being sad.

If you don’t like something go to Jesus and confess to it to Him, instead of hiding. Confess your sins. The reason why we must do this is so that guilt and shame don’t overtake us. Let’s face it folks we aren’t perfect we do some dumb things, only later to regret what we have done. The reason why we regret is because when we don’t confess what we have done we open the door of guilt and shame which weighs heavy on us.

So, let’s be big boys and girls and confess every sin to God. He has promised to forgive us and clean us of all unrighteousness.

  1. Amen… It’s funny because a lot of us hide under the table. I use to be one of those people who was hiding under the table. Now I confess my sins when I know I’ve done something wrong or if it was a mistake. Now how I confess my sins is in a little journal notebook where I write to Lord, God and tell him about my day an what I did wrong and ask for forgiveness as well as thanking him. So thank you for this excellent word this morning… ❤️❤️❤️

    1. My sister you are more then welcome. When I was a little girl I would hid my foo under the table. Now that I serve God I thank Him for when I mess up He forgives me and He also don’t exposes my secrets. I’m just in awe of how He loves me so much that He forgives me.

Have a bless day. We serve an Awesome Lord.
