Everything is in God’s Planning and Timing

Isaiah 40:31 But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Every now and then we tend to rush things in our lives. We haven’t learned the art of being “Patient” we go to work, and we rush. People rush while driving the clerk in the store is rushing us. Mangers on our jobs are rushing their employees.  Everyone is in a rush and to go where? Where are you going with all this rushing?0

Did you know that rushing will kill you slowly over time? Therefore, so many people are depressed. Many are suffering with their health all do to rushing. Our world is so micromanaged that we don’t know how to function in normalcy everyday activity.

But there is one person who we can’t rush and that is God! You might be living a life of microwave, but God will not be rushed by anyone or anything. God tells us that when we come to Him that there is a time for everything read it in Ecclesiastes chapter 3.

So, what is being patient? Webster’s define patience as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset:  What does God says about patience? Well the Lord has allot to say about it, in Romans 12:2 he says, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. And in 2 Peter 3:9 say’s The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Staring today let’s begin to slow down and enjoy every moment of the day. Just because you’re having a bad day doesn’t mean that you can’t find joy in that day. We are surrounded with so much beauty that God has created that we don’t take enough time to smell the roses. About twenty some years ago I felled into depression. If you never had depression, then you will never understand what a person goes through. One of the things I learned through it was I had to appreciate every second of a moment. I want to share with you what the Lord revealed to me. He showed me a flower that was budding in the grass. It wasn’t full bloom yet. I kept looking at this flower when the Lord said “just like that flower how you are admiring it’s beauty is how I want you to appreciate life.

No one is exempt from troubles we all have difficulties and we must find God in it. Especially on those days when nothing makes sense. The world can be a scary place sometimes, people say things to us that are not nice, but we can’t hold on to the hurt otherwise we won’t see the plan that God has for us. Therefore, we have a hard time waiting on God’s perfect timing. Because we want to rush God like we rush through our day. If one doesn’t start slowing down, you are going to miss allot more out of life.

  1. Great post. It reminds me of comments I get when I cook or bake from scratch — they comment how good it is and what’s the secret? “Slow cooking,” I remark. “Taking time to let things simmer or bake.” The taste is always so much better than microwave food.
