“Glorifying” the Stuff in Our Lives?

Deuteronomy 6:5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Question: If you didn’t have to worry about the stuff in your life, would you serve the Lord wholeheartily?

It might sound like a weird question but it’s not because we as Christians allow stuff in our lives to determine how much we will serve the Lord.

Now before you kick and scream, relax. When things are going well in our lives we slack on our Christian walk. But the moment our little world begins to trimmer we panic and become unglued.

Why do we allow stuff in our lives to be heighten higher than the God we serve? We must stop glorifying the stuff and start lifting Jesus. He’s the only one that we should be glorifying not the stuff in our lives.

If the stuff in your life is taking up the Lord’s place you are headed for some serious turbulence.  One cannot love the Lord God with all their heart if stuff is occupying it.

Have a blessed Friday, may the Lord protect and keep you.

  1. Wonderful post, and Amen! The trials that we face in this life are often the means by which we grow deeper in our faith and closer in our relationship with our Savior and Lord Jesus.

  2. Wonderful post and Amen! The trials that we face in this life often cause our faith to deepen and our relationship with Jesus, our Savior and Lord, to grow. However, as you so well point out, if we allow those trials to consume us, the opposite effect occurs.
