John 4:4-8 say’s And he had to pass through Samaria. So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.
A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” (For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.)
Here in this story there are a lot of golden nuggets that Jesus tells this woman here at the well. Not only does He ask her for water, but he tells her about her life, and He ask her questions.
To her amazement she was shocked for she knew that only a Prophet could know such things about her
Today, I ask you, how thirsty are you? Each of us from time to time will find ourselves drinking from a well when we are in a desert storm. And if we don’t know the difference we will drink from the wrong well.
I do believe that when we are in that desert we tend to drink from what we hope that will bring relief to us, we go to other sources we read other books we take things into our own hands.
And all awhile Jesus is asking why are you seeking to other avenues when your only source is and should be God Himself.
For the woman at the well, her life changed at that very moment. When things gets tough and it seems like nothing is happening draw closer to Jesus, and watch the Salvation of the Lord change what you could not do.
Have a Blessed Wednesday!!!
