FREE~ Your Mind from The Slavery of Pharaoh

One of the things I have noticed and I see it within my own life and that is we often tend to put limits on what God can do for us. We want Jesus blessings but we never think about those internal blessings that we need. See we all deal with issues like anger, annoyed, arrogant, ashamed, bitter, bored, bullied complaining, condemned people, controlling spirits, critical spirits, guilt, insecure, lazy, jealous, lonely, procrastination, resentful, self-destructive, self- hatred, pity shy, stubborn, timid and these are just to name a few.

And yet we spend so much time asking God to bring us blessings in material things, the more possessions we have the more we feel we are blessed. But God is wanted to do a blessing in every area of your life.

What stops us from understanding the whole thing about blessings, is that we are still in slavery in our minds. We are no different from the children in Egypt, they cried and begged for a leader to deliver them out of Pharaoh’s hands and the moment the Lord raised up Moses and delivered them the people complain about being in the wilderness, they thought they was better off being in Pharaoh’s court.

What they neglect to see is themselves being delivered not just in the physical but in the spirit but because they could not see that their mindset was still in slavery.

Is your mind still in slavery, back at Pharaoh’s court? If we were to be honest we will see just how much slavery we are in, Jesus came to deliver us from slavery and yet we want all these things of possessions when Jesus is wanting to do a heart surgery and make you into what you never were. In 3 John, we see in verse 2 how God said “beloved I wished above all things that as you prosper in be in good health that your soul prospers. We have far too many Christians not prospering the way Jesus wanted us to because we don’t understand the truth of God’s Blessings.

Don’t let fear keep you from knowing the truth about God’s blessings. Paul describes these blessings as “spiritual blessings, and blessings that are in “heavenly places’ meaning the blessings are not physical or material. Got it?

Survey: Forgiveness “would you Pass?

If there was a survey that every person in the world had to take on “forgiveness” would you be honest with your responses? I dare myself to think that the end result would be very shocking because when it comes to forgiveness most of us turn a deaf ear.

  • When it comes to you forgiving a person what do you base it upon?
  • Will you forgive right away even if the offender did not ask?
  • Would you demand justice before you forgive?
  • Will you forgive if they forgave you first?
  • Or maybe you won’t forgive, know matter what, for the pain is so deep you just can’t do it?

The average person will forgive easily depending on the severity of the circumstances of their pain. Others will honesty choose not to forgive, no matter what. In life we all will face pain, hurt, and disappointments.

That’s a fact of life and there is nothing we can do to change those events from happening to you and I.

But what we can do is change how we will let it affect us. In all honesty this is not a trick question but a very serious one, we can talk about many topics we can share many stories with people we even have conversations about today’s events. We will encourage a friend give to the needy and yet when it comes to “forgiveness” the air becomes still everyone that was in the room has left, and those who remain stayed because they was afraid to leave the room, because they don’t want to appear as they don’t forgive.

Funny thing about forgiveness it travels alone you don’t find many people cheering it on, you don’t see signs posted or hear an applaud, no those things aren’t going on. Why? Because we feel as though we owe it to ourselves to not to forgive. We have that right it belongs to us and we give it if we want to and no one can make us give it away. Yeah, you are right no one can make you forgive.

But remember this when a person choose not to forgive you only holding yourself in bondage, you are not free to move on in life. Being in bondage to someone is like carrying a dead man on your back, imagine the smell of it, the heaviness alone is terrible do you really think you can move forward with that load you are carrying? And would anyone want to come around you smelling like that?

Ask yourself now would you give forgiveness? I know many will say it’s easier said then done, and how true it is you and I can’t forgive within ourselves. But if we love Christ like we say we do then forgiveness is not an option. If you’re having a hard time forgiving someone seek the Lord and let Him help you.

Father I know forgiveness is not an easy thing to do, for it cuts the grain right through us, we know the pain and agony which was placed in our hearts and it hurt to the depth of our soul, but Lord help us to forgive like you do. You died on the cross and they treated you like a common thief and while you hung on that cross you said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Teach us Lord to have that same spirit, give us strength in our times of pain give us courage to speak the word forgiveness. In the mighty name of your Son Jesus Christ, Amen.
