Warped Behavior

Romans 12:1 says, I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

According to Webster the word warped is an adjective; it means twisted out of shape, typically as a result of the effects of heat or damp. Abnormal or strange; distorted, a warped sense of humor.

I want us to look at our behavior from the way we think to the way we respond. When we do we will recognize those warped behaviors. I know many of us aren’t going to look at ourselves through a microscope because we don’t like to admit the ugliness about ourselves. We would rather keep it hidden not just from others but from ourselves as well.

Did you not know that when we bury things within ourselves. The Lord will bring them to the surface for us to face them? Romans 3:23 tells us for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. So why are we hiding from God? The moment we admit the ugliness to God the healing process beings within us.

When our attitudes are twisted we can’t grow. Christians are called to live lives that are “holy and pleasing to God ” you can’t please God with a bad attitude.
