Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Question: How much more full or empty?
You’ve heard the saying” glass half full” the flip side it is “glass half empty.” No matter how many people you might ask they all will have a different answer, which means there is no right or wrong answer. It’s how a person perceives the glass as being.
People view their lives as either half empty or half full. It’s amazing how we perceive things. Why are we constantly comparing ourselves to what we see? We compare ourselves to others when we want what they have. We might not envy but we are thinking about how we can improve on what we perceive. But I must ask this question, “if what you perceive is good then what are you comparing it to?” One can’t know what is good if they don’t have something to compare it to. I can sit here and tell you that the Lord is good but until you have tried the Lord for yourself you will never know just how good He really is.
If you see your life as not being good what are you comparing your life to? Are you judging your life by others? Anytime we compare our perception to other things we will always come up empty. Therefore, God tells us in Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Do you think that the person or persons of who you compare yourself to is happy? You may not be were you want to be in life. But always remember this you are neither half empty or half full; you are whole. For God created you in His image. Let’s stop this comparing and let’s start lining our lives up by the word of God. For when we do this we will stop wondering if our lives are half empty or half full. God say’s your whole now live in that truth. AMEN?
