Philippians 2:14 – Do all things without murmurings and disputing:
Ephesians 4:29 – Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
What we complain about someone else would be thankful for! We complain about our jobs someone else wish they had a job. We complain about our cars someone else wish they had a car. What we complain about someone else would say we are blessed.
As Thanksgiving approaches us. We need to take a real look at what we have and be grateful. One of the things my mother also taught us girls was to be thankful. She said that we need to be thankful not just on Thanksgiving Day but every day. As kids’ mom would ask us what are we thankful? I’m glad she taught us that lesson. Learning to be grateful is truly a blessing. I might not have what I think I want but one thing is for sure. I am blessed beyond what I see.
It’s so easy to complain then to count your blessings. Sadly, we don’t see just how bless we are until we hear someone else’s story. Complaining is like sitting in a rocking chair going nowhere.
Have a Blessed Saturday.
