Titus 2:12 says Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
What is it about certain things that comes our way that can cause you and I to trip? There are somethings that we just don’t give much thought into the fact that it bothers us, but than there is this one thing that no matter when it shows up it causes us to trip. Now if you aren’t familiar with this word it means it’s a slang word which means a person behaves totally different then normal.
I consider myself to be a level-headed person, I try not to speak by my emotions and neither do I get into foolish arguments with people. But there is one thing that catches me off guard all the time and that is something that I have not be able to handle nor figure out a way to deal with it. And it’s safe to say that I am not the only person who struggles with this. So what am I’m speaking about? We all have an area in our lives that will cause us to trip over something and though we been through it before we keep telling ourselves the next time would be better. Sadly it never is better because we are constantly trying to figure out how to deal with it.
And so again I ask why do we allow this to happen to us, we know from past experiences that what we tried didn’t work, we say we learned our lessons and still that very moment it came here we are tripping on it again. So how do we break this cycle? I believe we first must admit that there is something deep on the inside of us that we haven’t confessed to the Lord about. Once we do that then when our minds go off and start tripping we won’t be acting or behaving in a way that causes us to be stressed.
Maybe you are reading this and you think it has nothing to do with you, but oh my friend it does you just probably call it a totally different name. For all tripping is, is one thing that has you so consumed that you can’t even think straight.
