The Things We Think About

1 Peter 5: 7 says, cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

He Cares,

In this world you and I have so any concerns, don’t we? Our minds and hearts tend to pull at us from so many directions.

About three months I have been spending allot of my time being overly concerned about my production at work. As with any job there comes a level of stress and frustration. For me I was more frustrated than anything. I believe that there are two types of people on our jobs. The ones who just want to do the basic and the ones who want to make a difference. With out sounding like I am tooting my own horn I have always worked to make a difference. And that is not just in my work but in the lives of my coworkers.

Without saying, with any job there are those who will make try to undermine what you are doing. Once I saw what was happening, I had to regroup and focus on “WWJD” you know the saying; What Would Jesus Do? It was then that I changed how I would handle the Nay Sayers. I’m not going to sit here and say that it was an easy task, for it was no walk in the park. Each day was a fight. And the person in whom I was fighting was myself! So often we are so quick to say it was the enemy when it was ourselves that we needed to say no to the flesh.

And though it was difficult it was in those moments that the Lord showed me things in my flesh that needed to die. When I stopped saying yes gossip and complaining that is when it all changed. Everything at work started to go in my favor. The Lord rise me up and scattered my enemies. Last Thursday morning when I woke up, I had this burden to pray but I didn’t know what to pray for. So, I prayed in the Spirit and when I was done, I said AMEN. The burden had gone, but while I was still on my knees the Lord said so clear to me the following words. He said, you have so many concerns and I care about all of them.”

When I arrived to work that morning, I had my evaluation with Director and Supervisor. My supervisor told me that I am an example of what accountability and leadership is. I left that room thanking God for everything that He has done for me and for the fact that He is God all by Himself. When I got back to my desk, I said Lord, now I know why I had to pray.

We need to remember that God cares about what bothers His children. And that when He sees the concern He is right there. He works on our behalf. AMEN
