Let Me GO!

Genesis 32:26 And he said, let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me.

What was Jacob saying in this verse? I do believe that he had to of been under great distress, Jacob meant business that he was going to hold his ground in prayer until he hears from God. And it didn’t matter if it took all night long, for he had rather have all his bone put out of joint than go away without one.

Though the struggle continued long, this did not shake his faith, nor silence his prayer. Have you ever had a time when you were praying and when you got off your knees you just didn’t feel as though you made a connection? You’ve heard the saying PUSH, pray until something happens? Let me help you with this, there will be times in each of our lives when we must press through. Sadly, enough many times we give up to soon we allow distractions to keep us from pressing in.

The Lord desires us to pray to Him, He also desires for us to stay for a while. So, the next time you pray, and you still have that feeling of uneasiness, it’s because the Lord is tugging at your heart. Don’t let your prayers become one-sided. Prayer is a two way, it’s you praying and then it’s the Holy Spirit turn to speak to you, but if we keep our prayer life one sided, then how will you know when He speaks to you?

What would happen if we stayed on our knees until we heard from God?  When we pray, we must mean business because the enemy sure does mean business when he attacks us.
