Luke 2:10 says” and the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Hello December! How are you? This is the last month before the new year comes in. During the month of December people think about resolutions, reorganizing and new beginnings.
As I sit here in my office, I wanted to give a scripture that is fitting for whatever you might be thinking. Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Not sure what you want to do. Not sure how things are going to turn out. Life has uncertainties. But one thing remains the same and that is this. Regardless of what you are thinking about remember this a Savior was born so that mankind can live in eternity with Him.
It’s not about the resolutions we make. It’s not about what we have planned for our life. It’s all about Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Don’t become frazzled don’t be anxious, trust in Him and He will see you through.
I can remember a time when all I would do during the month of December is think about what resolutions I was going to make. How I was going to make my future better than the year before. Only to find myself coming up empty handed because I never included the plans the Lord had for my life. Do you know how frustrating that is? You work yourself in a sweat just to see no fruit of what you are doing. Then after all the tears and sweat I came to my senses to realize the Lord never told me to do any of it. Now how crazy is that? I call it stupidity it’s like sitting in a rocking chair going nowhere.
That was then, I finally learned never to do that again. I shared this with you so you will not get yourself worked up like I use to. We all have done it we have screamed at ourselves for the things we done wrong. Maybe you are already planning what the New Year is going to be for you. I tell you now before you make any plans stop and ask the Lord what is His plans for you. I promise you if you do this life will be much easier on you.
May this devotional bless you.
