Stop Giving permission to the Spoilers

Jeremiah 12:12 say’s the spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the Lord shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.

What is a spoiler? A spoiler is considered a plunderer, a pillager; a robber. Someone that corrupts; a person or thing that spoils something.

The prophet Jeremiah by which he describes generally the enemies that invade and devastate a country, with special reference to enemies that invade Judah. The enemies who devastate Moab; to enemies from the North who are to assail Babylon, and in one case to Nebuchadnezzar making an irresistible advance upon Jerusalem.

Did you know that there are spoilers who’s only concern is make your day rotten? Just because someone else is having a bad day, you can’t allow them to spoil your day. This is one of the biggest problems in the workforce today. In the work force we are faced with many different people who just hate their job. You hear them condemning their bosses, other employees, their bullying people and when you enter the room with your bright smile they are ready to spoil your day. They do so by saying something that will offend you. Sadly, enough these spoilers are like cancer they nudge and nudge until they have eaten away at everything that matters to you.

What about those who are in your home? That’s right, our love ones don’t always have a great day either. Something is bothering them and so their attitude is of a spoiler. Therefore, if they don’t communicate what is on their hearts they tend to take their frustrations out on us. It’s not fair that it happens but we do tend to take out our frustrations on those we love.

You can’t allow anyone to spoil your day. When a spoiler tries to spoil your day it’s not about you, it’s about them. We all have choices in life only you can decide if you are going to allow a person to spoil your day. You have a choice to either let it affect you or not. The choice is yours sadly we will say that so and so spoiled my day. That is not true, no one can spoil your day unless you give them permission. Stop giving people permission!
